Stairs to Nowhere

I love experimenting with stair forms. Staircases fascinate me both literally and metaphorically. Here I am playing with their sculptural quality.

Exhibition Photos

A few photographs from our collective exhibition in Halles de la Fonderie, Carouge, June 2015 just before the closing. It was a successful exhibition and a wonderful experience. I am really happy to be part of it :)
My special thanks goes to Michelle Dethurens who enabled this beautiful exhibition.

Setting the stage...

Installing the pieces for the exhibition
Getting ready for the exhibition. I am trying to find the exact place and the right angle for each piece :)

The opening of the exhibition will be on 3rd of June.

Happy with the results!

Handmade!

I can't imagine anything less than these naturally dyed wool felt cases to protect my pieces, designed and handmade specifically for the Reflections 2015 by a traditional feltmaker in Konya, Turkey. Thank you Silvia Ines Garoselli and Busra Karakaya, Atolye Ikonium, for their beautiful work.

Just to add some flavor, I have participated a raku‬ firing with some of my pieces. Playing with the naked fire at 980°C, letting the pieces infused with smoke in an oxygen reduction atmosphere is quite an experience and the results are rewarding.

For more photos of this firing, you can check my facebook page.
